Temple Beth Shalom Religious School is a supplementary Jewish educational school serving the west valley Jewish families with kids grades K-8.
Serving the west valley for over 10 years, TBS Religious School provides a safe environment for Jewish youth to learn, explore and express their commitment to Judaism. The staff of experienced teachers is committed to three main areas of focus.
- Hebrew: We feature a blended learning environment for grades 3 and up. Featuring an online component where students can do their work from a tablet, laptop or phone, coupled with individualized support on Sunday morning. Our program teaches Hebrew as a living, thriving language.
- Tarbut (Culture): Exploring the history and practices from the vast variety of Jewish cultural practice.
- Yehadut (Judaica): Torah, Jewish Holidays and Customs.
Our school prides itself on maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment. Our Parenthood committee welcomes parent volunteers with opportunities to help plan events during the school year. Connected to our school is our youth group with opportunities for teens and the little ones.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah
A minimum of two years enrollment at Temple Beth Shalom Religious School is required. The Temple offers a beautiful sanctuary for the religious ceremony. Our social hall and/or auditorium is available for your social event if you so choose. Rabbi Moss and the religious school director offer a series of workshops to the B’nai Mitzvah families prior to the momentous occasion. A Guidebook is provided as a helpful planning tool. The workshops create an opportunity for families to bond as we learn the process and procedures for Bar and Bat Mitzvah in a fun and interactive arena.
Teens grades 8 through High School, with the leadership of the Religious School Director, will work as role models and guides to younger religious school students.
For more information, please contact the school director.
Temple membership is required prior to registering a child.
